FAQ's for Parents

How do you work with a particular school’s curriculum?

Individual U. works with schools in a variety of ways. For students who come to Individual U. for gap year programs prior to transitioning to a new school, we often work in collaboration with their new school to teach the curriculum of the interim year. For students who learn specific school subjects at Individual U. while remaining enrolled in their school, we work closely with that school to ensure that they complete all expected requirements for the mentored subjected. And for students who come to Individual U. for afterschool and/or weekend programs, we sometimes (with parental involvement and consent) collaborate with teachers, guidance counselors and deans to best address students’ needs. The precise nature of our outreach is flexible and is determined as part of initial consultations with parents, Eye to IU intake sessions, and ongoing communication with families.
