FAQ's for Parents

How are executive function skills incorporated into my child’s learning?

Executive function skills help students with every aspect of learning and problem solving. As we work with students, mentors and students develop “best practice” learning strategies for handling challenges effectively. These challenges might include debility in a learning skill, such as reading, or it might be difficult in organizing or initiating work, for example. An Executive Function checklist is kept for each student so he or she can consciously review these “best strategies,” and the list is organized in a way to be most user-friendly to the student.
